To go along with our transfer of energy unit, Molly brought in her radio that she made at home with her parents.  Below she explains her homemade radio.

We started our study on forms of energy and energy transfer.  Below was our first lab.

Shelly from Link to Libraries visited.  She read the story "A Passion for Elephants," a story about the life of animal researcher and elephant advocate Cynthia Moss, who has lived alongside and studied these creatures for 40 years.

Shelly brought some great books from Link to Libraries.  Families donate these books for us to have.

Shelly read a great story about a name, The Name Jar, another story about two animals, Two Bobbies.

Summary: The Name Jar: Having just moved from Korea, Unhei so instead of introducing herself on the first day of school, she tells the class that she will choose a name by the following week. But while Unhei practices being a Suzy, Laura, or Amanda, one of her classmates comes to her neighborhood and discovers her real name and its special meaning.
Two Bobbies is about a cat and a dog that were left homeless after Hurricane Katrina.
