Shelly from Link to Libraries visited.  She read the story "A Passion for Elephants," a story about the life of animal researcher and elephant advocate Cynthia Moss, who has lived alongside and studied these creatures for 40 years.

Shelly read a great story about a name, The Name Jar, another story about two animals, Two Bobbies.

Summary: The Name Jar: Having just moved from Korea, Unhei so instead of introducing herself on the first day of school, she tells the class that she will choose a name by the following week. But while Unhei practices being a Suzy, Laura, or Amanda, one of her classmates comes to her neighborhood and discovers her real name and its special meaning.
Two Bobbies is about a cat and a dog that were left homeless after Hurricane Katrina.
